By Frances Ann

in the yawn of spring

i dress the wound (a perennial)

1 part vinegar, 10 parts water

inter-vertebrate sin insinuated

hope bleating on a hill

i pry off shame,

that cloak of invisibility,

sardonic gentility,

keep it for

crow on a white picket fence

whose caws into good mourning

peal me out from kind of kin

enter frontal vacancies

remind me of my

self, post traumatic,

wad of time, organic,

catechism in cataclysm,

barefoot since the snow,

every step a yowl to the cosmos:

i am not the ambulance between

her teeth
